The award-winning Human-Centered Solutions consulting firm awarded a $42M, 5-year prime contract with The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center and DOT
FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA – March 30, 2017 – Evans Incorporated (Evans) announces today that it has won its largest contract in its history, totaling nearly $42 million over 5 years, with the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center). This latest achievement comes in recognition of Evans’ deep technical understanding of Aviation, enabling strategy and leadership integration success for emerging technology initiatives, and experience delivering exceptional value to Volpe.
The contract consists of two key functional areas, Strategic Planning and Management Development and Integration. The Strategic Planning area will cover all ranges of strategies, including process improvement, facilitating the modernization of complex Aviation program solutions, analysis of business and operational systems, and proactive recommendations to make these programs more effective. The Management Development and Integration component will include coaching and leadership development services, as well as a focus on team-building, communication, training, facilitation, and stakeholder governance.
Evans’ demonstrated expertise and track-record, in both the Aviation industry and in Human-Centered Solutions and Products, were key components to this award, which follows a more than 4-year trusted partnership with the Volpe Center. Over Evans’ 22-year history, its range of strategic planning and management development and integration support services have been instrumental in the transformation of its client’s business environments. In the DOT and for the Volpe Center, Evans:
- Conducts organizational assessments and leads multi-disciplinary work groups chartered with driving change;
- Propagates best practices in the practical application of project and program standards, governance design and stakeholder outreach;
- Enables high-performing leadership teams through offsite, all-hands, and communications planning; and
- Integrates program management planning techniques across various unique portfolios of technology solutions designed to safely and efficiently support the changing needs of the flying public.
Evans will be the prime contractor on this engagement, and has assembled a team of expert partners, including Noblis, The Armstrong Group (TAG), Regulus Group, LLC, Mosaic ATM, Indev, and The Futures Strategy Group, LLC (FSG), who together look forward to meeting the challenges the Volpe Center and Department will face moving forward.
