Position-level: Mid-level to Senior Consultant (minimum of Bachelor’s with 5 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 2 years of experience)

About the Customer

This role is an opportunity to support a federal government client within the transportation industry. Working with experienced project team members, you will help our client foster strong communications and team effectiveness across the organization which will enhance the organization’s capacity to meet its mission.

Required:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement communication, and facilitation expertise
  • Expertise and experience applying organization development theory
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Organization and time management
  • Program management experience a plus
  • Multi-tasking – ability to handle multiple projects and clients at one time
  • Customer service oriented with a knowledge of principles and procedures for providing excellent customer service. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree required (business or science degree is preferred but not required)
  • At least 5 years of experience working in the federal consulting environment preferred
  • PMP certification preferred but not required
What Position Will Entail
  • Develop and facilitate team building and strategy workshops
  • Refine the mission/vision
  • Develop yearly team goals (with activities and deliverables) and help the team track and refine goals
  • Advise manager on team development and strategy
  • Update and maintain client organizational chart
  • Develop communication strategy for the client and support tactical implementation (e.g., newsletter)
  • Program workshop development and support, including change management, as requested
  • Track team actions
  • Integrate cross-organizational efforts to ensure consistency in communication across the client program, including communicating and collaborating on best practices
  • Make improvement recommendations for business processes related to communication/collaboration
  • Design, develop and implement products and processes to improve accountability
  • Provide recommendations and assistance in the design and completion of data collection, analyses, evaluations, and survey instruments, including development of databases and analytic programs as requested
  • Maintain attention to detail while scheduling meetings involving multiple stakeholders, planning agendas, and facilitating meetings
  • Initiate planning client meetings and follow ups
  • Play an active role in all aspects of work-related activities: gathering and analyzing information, developing and communicating recommendations, documenting instructional materials and procedures, presenting results to management, implementation, and training
